The Short Version
We do not collect any personal data whatsoever. We do not require an account or login of any kind. We do not use the internet — the app works entirely offline. Everything you enter stays on your device and never leaves it. We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising. We do not share anything with anyone because there is nothing to share.
1. Introduction
Dartboard ("the app", "we", "our") is a darts scoring application for iOS and Android developed for personal and recreational use. This privacy policy explains how the app handles information.
The simple answer is: it doesn't. Dartboard is designed from the ground up to require no personal information, no internet connection, and no account of any kind. Your privacy is protected by design, not just by policy.
2. Information We Collect
Dartboard collects no personal information. None. Zero. We have no servers, no database, no backend, and no way to receive your data even if we wanted to.
Specifically, we do not collect:
— Your name, email address, or any contact information — Your location or device location — Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints — Usage data, analytics, or app telemetry — Crash reports sent to any external service — Any information about how you use the app — Player names entered into the app — Game scores or statistics — Any other information of any kind
3. Information Stored on Your Device
Dartboard stores the following information locally on your device using your phone's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party:
— Player names — stored so they persist between sessions — Game statistics — your scores, averages, highest turns, and other game stats shown in the My Stats screen — App preferences — your chosen settings such as appearance (light/dark mode), commentary on/off, and haptics preference — Practice drill results — your practice session history stored locally for progress tracking
All of this data is stored exclusively on your device. You can delete it at any time using the Reset Stats option within the app, or by uninstalling the app entirely.
4. Internet and Network Access
Dartboard does not require an internet connection and does not make any network requests. The app functions entirely offline. All audio files, images, and content are bundled within the app itself and loaded locally.
The app does not connect to any servers, APIs, or external services at any time.
5. Third-Party Services
Dartboard does not integrate any third-party services including:
— Analytics platforms (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, or similar) — Advertising networks (no ads of any kind) — Crash reporting services (no Sentry, Crashlytics, or similar) — Social media SDKs — Payment processors (the app is free with no in-app purchases) — Cloud storage or sync services
The app is built using React Native and Expo. These development frameworks do not independently collect user data in our implementation.
6. Children's Privacy
Because Dartboard collects no personal information from any user, it is safe for users of all ages. The app contains no advertising, no social features, no chat, and no ability to share personal information. We do not knowingly collect information from children or anyone else.
7. Your Rights and Data Deletion
Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end.
Any data stored locally on your device can be managed entirely by you:
— To delete your stats: Open the app → My Stats → Reset Stats — To delete all app data: Uninstall the app from your device
Both actions permanently and immediately remove all locally stored data.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date at the top. Given the nature of this app, we do not anticipate this policy needing to change — but if it ever does, the policy will remain consistent with our commitment to collecting no personal data.
Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
